Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This is a vital role that requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.




• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).




• Monitor and analyze financial data, highlighting trends, and identifying areas of improvement or risk.




• Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.




• Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.




• Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial records.




• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.




• Collaborate with external auditors and other stakeholders during the annual audit process.




• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns.




• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA designation is highly desirable.




• Proven experience (5+ years) as an Accounting Manager or a similar role.




• Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial accounting principles, and financial reporting.




• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.




• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.




• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.




• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams, external stakeholders, and senior management.




• Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to effectively manage a team.




• High level of integrity and ethical standards.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 per year, dependent on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise in the field of accounting.
