Business Analyst IT Security

Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is currently seeking a Business Analyst for the Information Security Architecture area. Candidate will serve an essential function ensuring the effectiveness of the architecture team. Security architecture is the strategic information security function which defines the strategies and designs for our security technology. The business analyst gives the insights into business need by defining requirements and assessing technical capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a partner on projects to identify the business context such as people, process, and technology where security is needed
  • Identify and develop security requirements in partnership with the security architects
  • Perform assessments and comparisons of technical capabilities
  • Prepare presentations to explain findings and guide decision making
  • Identify and track performance through metrics
  • Provide coordination and follow-up on company-wide engagements as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience in an information security function
  • 2 or more years of technology experience
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with cloud platform technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, O365)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or others
  • Experience with processes including Change Management, Problem Management, Work Prioritization, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement
  • Security certifications (SANS GSEC, CompTIA Security+) are a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related degree, or equivalent job experience
