Computer & Info Systems Manager (COMSEC / ASSET MGR)

Active Clearance Required: TS/SCI

The primary responsibility of the Computer and Information Systems Manager (COMSEC/Asset Manager) is to provide comprehensive COMSEC support within the organization and its operating locations, handling day-to-day operations. Additionally, this role involves managing IT asset management to ensure accurate tracking, maintenance, and security of all IT assets.

Skills / Experience Required

• 5+ years relevant experience within the Department of Defense (DoD)




• Administer inventories and document control program to account for COMSEC equipment and materials




• Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation




• Oversee the maintenance and security of COMSEC materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards




• Develop and implement processes for efficient asset management, including regular audits and updates to the inventory system




• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and support of IT assets and COMSEC operations




• Provide training and guidance to staff on proper handling and management of COMSEC materials




• Respond to and resolve any issues related to COMSEC and asset management promptly




• Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in COMSEC and asset management technologies




• Store, protect, operate, and maintain all equipment for the organization




• Maintain all required documentation, training and reporting




• Periodically field trouble calls from remote customers to assist the operation of their COMSEC equipment




• Account for and understand the various IT assets policies, procedures, supply chain-based and directives for asset accountability




• Interface with internal/external customers to identify requirements and provide problem resolution.




• Follow procedures for logistics activities such equipment ordering, receiving, safeguarding, transferring, and disposal




• Maintain asset control records in database and ensure completion of annual inventory.




• Ensure all assets are correctly identified and labeled




• Maintain and update hard/soft copies of equipment as the custodian




• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong verbal communication abilities to effectively express concepts, plans, and personnel guidance, the ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines, proficiency in processing all inbound and outbound COMSEC and equipment, as well as exceptional writing, editing, analytical, and team facilitation skills

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor of Science in (BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline




• Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education
