This position establishes and ensures successful execution of the ETL architecture, development, testing and strategy for all data handled by the Enterprise Data team.

Individual will collaborate with data architects, subject matter experts, and business analysts to design, develop, and deploy data integration solutions using ETL tools that support the suite of data and analytics solutions. The Data Warehouse Tech Lead will support Predictive Analytics and other Data Team initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Develop detailed plans for Data deliverables that identifies tasks, efforts, and resources
  • Gather Technology Project estimates; Assemble project teams, to include appropriate skill sets for assigned projects; Secure funding for technology effort; Schedule technology resources to execute plan
  • Experience working with Teradata, Oracle, MySql, MongoDB, Elastic and MS SQL database platforms as sources and targets for Data Integration/BI/Reporting/Analytics.
  • Experience in Informatica suite and SAP BODS suite of tools.
  • Lead and handle technical aspects of Data projects from inception to completion.
  • Establish and enforce ETL standards for documentation, development, and deployment; Implement ETL best practices and standardization; Create and maintain ETL technical documentation
  • Perform ETL code and design reviews; Establish and enforce standards for code reviews and unit test cases; Conduct performance analysis and optimization of ETL jobs
  • Partner with Project Managers and Manager of Data groups to ensure tasks are identified and appropriately estimated
  • Partner with Data Architects, Sr. ETL Developers, Subject Matter Experts, and Business Analysts to ensure ETL jobs are designed appropriately to meet project/initiative requirements
  • Create and develop ETL jobs as well as data quality and cleansing routines; Oversee ETL deployment process from environment to environment
  • Design, develop and unit test ETL solutions based on business requirements and project deliverable timelines using the Analytics ETL framework, standards, and best practices
  • Work on any or all iterations for one or more subject areas within the data warehouse
  • Prepare, perform and document unit test and integration tests; Support BI Team during QA, UAT, and performance testing
  • Ensure production support of ETL jobs
  • Ability to be in an on-call capacity rotation (24-hours/day) for a week at a time, as assigned
  • Assist the Manager in project scoping and allocation of ETL resources
  • Assist with data modeling and data architecture tasks, as assigned
  • Assist the infrastructure team in coordinating and developing process automation/job scheduling and maintain a master schedule of all ETL jobs including dependencies, sources and targets
  • Assist in one or more components of the overall architecture of the data warehouse system
  • Ensure security requirements meet information security standards
  • Coordinate technology leadership assessment and direction to mitigate risk
  • Ensure Production support turn-over requirements are met
  • Lead warranty repair efforts and coordinate migration to Production
  • Provide guidance to team for the development of architectures for new versions systems or extended systems and product families
  • Describe major, foundational components or candidate building blocks of end-to-end solutions
  • Makes technology solutions understandable for broader set of stake holders
  • Ensure solutions add value to the business and addresses requirements, key issues or challenges
  • Optimize existing internal capabilities and leverage vendors, where appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned


    • Eight (8+) years relevant work experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, and logical/physical model design required.
    • Understanding of ETL development, cleansing strategies, data structures, data quality, OLAP solution and implementation, and report creation required.
    • This position will specifically focus on enterprise initiatives supporting data integrity and data quality Informatica and BODS SAP experience preferred


    • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Master s degree preferred
