DevOps Lead

*Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote*

A large global company needs a DevOps Lead. This lead will need to have at least 2 years of Terraform development, development of IaC templates and modules, along with heavy Azure cloud experience. This person will support Kubernetes environment, implement API gateways, and work with Jenkins/Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Passionate about optimizing helping the company with cloud spend and streamlining our cloud footprint.
• Help formulate best practices for building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) libraries and deployment practices.
• Lead DevOps strategy and ensure that all teams are following guidelines and best practices.
• Provide guidance to the development teams to ensure services and applications are developed on platforms that are scalable and supportable with focus on re-usability
• Stay on top of emerging cloud practices and trends.
• Experience working with a globally distributed team and leading offshore teams.
• Understand a broad spectrum of technology to provide detailed technical design which meets customer requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years implementing Terraform for the development and deployment of IaC templates and modules
• 3+ years of experience working with Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps
• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes environments
• Hands-on experience implementing infrastructure for microservice-based applications
• Hands-on experience implementing API Gateways (Azure, Akamai, etc.) using best practice methods
• 3+ years of development experience, preferably developing REST, GraphQL, and other similar services
• Very detail-oriented and has previous implemented or managed a cloud resource optimization strategy
• Experience with networking technologies such as Web Application Gateways, Content Delivery Networks and SSL Certificate binding strategies is highly desired
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure technologies as they relate to application development is a plus.
• Terraform, Azure and/or Kubernetes certification are a major plus
