However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Engineering Equipment Operator ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform common Engineering Equipment Operator tasks, including driving dump trucks, loaders or tractors to haul sand, stone and/or other aggregates; leveling grounds using equipment such as graders or rollers, and operating a variety of snow removal equipment (e.g., snow blowers, graders with wing attachments or loaders) to remove snow. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility for this position, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above and must have an average of two points on all the job elements listed below. Your application will be further evaluated to determine if you meet the best qualified cut-off for referral to the selecting official. In addition to the qualifications above, you must also meet the Selective Placement Factor below: Physical Effort: Heavy physical effort in constantly reaching, bending, turning and moving hands, arms, feet and legs. Considerable strain caused by constant vibration and jerking and jolting from operating over rough surfaces. Lifts and carries items in excess of 45 lbs. Working Conditions: Work is performed in all types of weather, exposed to injury due to the possibility of tipping or overturning. Subject to noise, vibration, dust, dirt and exhaust fumes.
