Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to join our organization. As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal departments, to gather relevant financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to senior management and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial reporting, exceptional analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead Financial Reporting: Oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.




2. Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards – IFRS) and regulatory requirements (e.g., Securities and Exchange Commission – SEC filings).




3. External Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports for external stakeholders, such as shareholders, investors, lenders, and regulatory bodies.




4. Internal Reporting: Develop and maintain internal reporting systems, providing insightful and actionable financial analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management.




5. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs), to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance.




6. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance financial reporting processes to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure accuracy and consistency.




7. Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, legal, and external auditors, to gather relevant financial information, address queries, and ensure the integrity of financial data.




8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary adjustments.




9. Team Management: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of financial reporting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is highly desirable.




2. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a managerial role. Experience in public accounting or working with a publicly traded company is advantageous.




3. Strong Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC regulations).




4. Analytical Skills: Proficient in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and generate meaningful insights to support decision-making.




5. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality reports.




6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.




7. Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.




8. Technology Proficiency: Proficient in financial software systems, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with financial reporting tools is a plus.




9. Integrity and Ethics: Uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality in handling financial information and sensitive data.

Our client offers competitive compensation and benefits packages, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. Salary range is $125 – $165k dependent on experience.
