Flavorist (1st Shift)

Established in 1995 and located in Everett, Washington, our mission, as a premier private label coffee roasting and packaging facility, is to custom roast and package coffee to our customers specifications for a wide variety of world class coffee brands. We are looking for a Flavorist to join our team!

FLAVORIST (1st Shift)



Responsible for the flavoring of product as planned by the production shift supervisors or leads and for the staging of flavored product for packaging.Coordinates with roasting and grinding to ensure a smooth flow of production.Performs duties in ways that maximize production efficiency.

Operates the mixers and elevators.
Maintains proper flavor percentages and recipes per product specifications.
Will incorporate rework at established quality specifications as necessary.
Maintains an accurate inventory through use of a computerized inventory system.
Updates in process forms and keeps accurate paperwork records.
Utilizes First In First Out procedures to ensure proper use of inventory.
Cleans mixers, elevators and other equipment and keeps maintenance informed of all needs.
Responsible for general housekeeping around the flavoring areas.
Upholds and provides safe, high-quality, consistent products, and superior services that anticipate, meet or exceed the requirements of our customers.
Complies with General Safety Communication Program.
Performs any other duties/tasks that may be assigned to him/her on an as needed basis.

Certified forklift operator. (Company will provide re-certification as needed)
Working knowledge of computer basics and experience with data entry.
Basic experience using hand tools.
Manufacturing experience desired.
Read and write in the English language.

Basic ability to read, write, calculate simple math and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
Good analytical and organizational skills needed to plan and implement machine functions.
Ability to address problems and propose viable solutions.
Excellent oral and written communications skills required.

Operational knowledge of flavoring mixers, product routing equipment and metric tooling.
This position is inside a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust and strong odors.
Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when transferring product from one building to another.
Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory.
Must operate a forklift.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Regular attendance and promptness is a must for this job.
This job requires a high degree of teamwork.
Assists new training of employees as directed.
