Full Charge Bookkeeper

As the full charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Full Charge Bookkeeper

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients using appropriate accounting software and tools.

  • Process financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents to ensure accurate recording of transactions.

  • Prepare and distribute invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in financial records.

  • Monitor and manage client budgets and expenses to ensure compliance with financial goals.

  • Collaborate with the CPA team to provide necessary financial data for tax planning and compliance.

  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.

  • Provide support during financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.

  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications of the Full Charge Bookkeeper

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a CPA firm or similar environment.

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Effective organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Compensation of the Full Charge Bookkeeper

  • $55-70k depending on experience
