Information Technology Specialist (APPSW)

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the OR-53 (GS-13 equivalent): An applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the OR-52 (GS-12 equivalent) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Successful experience can be gained in the Federal service or its equivalent in state or local government or private sector organizations. Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Experience in developing Intranet portal collaboration sites and branding on SharePoint Online platform or using LiveTiles; AND Experience in developing new landing pages, organizational templates/pages, newsletters, banners, and videos accessible from mobile devices; AND Experience using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to create website designs using Out of the Box functionality, UI extension, page layouts, themes, and display templates; AND Experience coding pages using HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, CSS, Bootstrap, or responsive design; AND Experience creating web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, design manager to create master pages, search navigation, permissions, and data management; AND Experience building workflow forms using SharePoint Designer and PowerApps/Flow. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. . Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication – Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
