QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. Specialized IT experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training or IT certification which demonstrates skill in applying:principles and methods for integrating information systems components; Performance tuning tools and techniques; System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques; Systems administration methods; and IT security principles. OR Completion of a master’s degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following five competencies:1. Attention to detail – Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews. 2. Customer service – Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; assessing customers’ needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction. 3. Verbal communication – Such as conducting formal presentations or training to audiences at varying levels of hierarchy and technical expertise. 4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills – Such as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Highly qualified candidates are those who: Have experience with hardware and software system administration in the past 3 years; have direct experience with preventative maintenance (system patching, backup and recovery, and hypervisor health; have direct experience with information assurance policies, principals and practices, ie host-based or end-point security. Highly qualified candidates will be considered first. Conditions of Employment Appointment subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. Must currently possess or obtain and maintain a satisfactory Tier 3R investigation. Must possess or obtain (within 6 months of employment) and maintain most applicable Computing Environment (CE) certificates of training and a minimum Information Assurance baseline security certification of Security+ equivalent (or higher certification) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Technical, Level II technicians.
