Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Solstice Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer for our energy-related client in Richmond, Virginia.

Base salary of $115k – $130k DOE plus 10% bonus opportunity, LTI and excellent benefits

Role is in-office at clients location in the Richmond area

Bachelors degree in Engineering and 5+ years controls, instrumentation, and SCADA experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads SCADA and HMI design and maintenance

Designs Control, Communications, Instrumentation, and Connectivity support equipment

Creates or directs the creation of all drawings and documentation related to instrumentation, control, and communication.

Provides engineering support for projects associated with renewable energy and utility operations

Miscellaneous administrative reporting and other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience

5+ years controls, instrumentation, and SCADA experience required

3+ years leading technical projects

Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault

Proficiency in Wonderware / Application Server / System Platform

Competency in reading and/or creating process, instrumentation, and electrical schematics

Experience in control panel design and control system communication networks and infrastructures

Experience with PLCs/HMIs, and other controllers
