Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled by demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1- Attention to Detail- Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conducts analysis of database policies, requirements and proposals to identify possible effects on operations. 2- Customer Service- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Compiles metrics concerning data assets and confers with members of functional communities that employ these assets in order to identify data capability gaps. 3- Oral Communication- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Participates in data symposiums and liaises with commands to facilitate efficient sharing of cybersecurity data. 4- Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Performs database maintenance and evaluates performance metrics to identify optimization and process improvement opportunities. -Executing database design, development and maintenance to improve database collection, tagging and retrieval to support metrics, organizational performance and decision making.
-Developing and administering databases, data management systems and/or data processes for the storage, query and utilization of data.
-Delivering data process briefs, procedural demonstrations and analytical profiles to educate cybersecurity assessors on evaluative tools, techniques and models.
This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at FULL PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-2210-12. GG-2210-11
-Performing database design and maintenance to identify optimization and process improvement opportunities.
-Assuring data integrity and compliance with security policies, principles and practices.
-Presenting briefs and providing fast and accurate responses to external and internal queries. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level FULL PERFORMANCE Series and Grade GG-2210-11. Within 6 months of entering on duty in this position, incumbent will complete at least one of the following certifications: (1) MySQL: Database Administration; (2) IBM Certified Database Administrator; (3) MCSA: Data Management Analytics; (4) CDMP: Certified Data Professional. Certifications will be required to maintain job proficiency (e.g., incumbent will complete CompTIA Security+ ce, or comparable certification in a timeline prescribed by the Supervisor).
