We need you, a seasonedPeople + Culture Generalistwho will be responsible for working with the Strategy, People + Culture leadership team, payroll administration, the leave of absence administration team, talent acquisition partners, and many other critical members of the Strategy, People + Culture team. The Strategy, People + Culture team is the Bank’s central organization focused on creating and delivering on an employee experience that enables people to do their very best work in support of the Bank’s mission and strategic direction. You will be working closely with new candidates to help with screening and background checks, with existing staff to execute ongoing screening protocols and payroll processes, as well as play an integral role in a variety of other people first tasks to help support our human capital.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Complete new hire screening and background checks in support of the FRB SF Talent Acquisition efforts
Complete ongoing background and Security Assurance for the Federal Reserve (SAFR) screenings for existing staff
Support payroll functions for 12L staff in conjunction with other P+C Generalists
Serve as point of contact for all HR administrative procedures and documentation processes
Monitor certain leaves of absence and partner with employees to assist in their return to work
Perform analysis and reporting for various projects related to P+C
Qualifications:
2+ years of HR Generalist experience
Working knowledge and experience in HR policies and practices
Strong knowledge of core HR disciplines, systems and processes such as payroll administration, onboarding, and background screening
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Knowledge and understanding of FLSA, EEO, FMLA, Worker’s Comp, and other employment law
Proficiency with MS Office, PPT, MS Teams, Visio, Excel is a must
AA degree or other relevant human resources experience preferred
Preferred Skills:
BA in HR or other related areas
PHR, SPHR, CCP, CEBS, or other equivalent certifications
