Overview:

Under the general direction of the assigned BCBA, BCaBA, and/or certified ESDM therapist, the RBT will provide clinical instruction and behavior reduction principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and other related disorders, as well as assist in the development of materials to enhance the patient s learning experience. The RBT will communicate with their assigned patient s family to share progress as it occurs to promote continuity of implementation of intervention strategies. The RBT will maintain regular communication with their assigned BCBA, BCaBA, and/or certified ESDM therapist. Essential components of this position are listed below but are subject to change at the discretion of Mercy Kids Autism Therapy Services and Mercy Kids Autism Center. Qualifications:

  • Required Education:
    Minimum of high school diploma
    Required Certification:
    Registered Behavior Technician certificate from the BACB
    BLS/CPR
    NPI number for Behavior Technician
    Required Experience/Knowledge
    Knowledge of child development
    At least 1 year of experience working with children with a diagnosis of autism

    Preferred Education:
    Bachelor s in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or related field
    Preferred Certification:
    N/A
    Preferred Experience/Knowledge
    Experience with Verbal Behavior and Natural Environment Teaching
