Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team at PHS of Bloomington. We are currently hiring for:

  1. A Resource/Admissions Nurse: This is part time at a .6 (6 shifts a pay period). It includes an every other Sat/Sun 9AM-5:30PM and the remaining weekday shifts are 1PM-9:30PM (every Monday and Thursday). We are seeking a nurse with 2+ years of RN experience in an acute setting such as a TCU or Hospital.

The weekday shifts are focused on doing admissions and being a resource to the other nurses by helping to pass medications or do assessments, and work the floor as needed. The weekend shifts are worked from the admissions office looking through referrals, communicating with hospital social workers, verifying insurance coverage and doing the coordination to get the admissions.

Responsibilities Include:

-Checking new guests in upon arrival
-Checking guests out when stay completed
-Completing Assessments
-Assisting floor nurses with treatments, dressing changes, etc.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the provision and monitoring of high quality clinical care and services to residents consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices.


  • Registered Nurse with current licensure with the State Board of Nursing in state(s) in which he/she practices.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Interest in gerontological nursing, rehabilitative and restorative clinical practices.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS’s mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
