Basic Education Requirement for Computer Science, 1550, job series: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Basic Education for Chemistry, 1320 job series: Bachelor’s Degree: physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering that included 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics. Basic Education for Physics, 1310 job series: Bachelor’s degree: physics; or related degree that included at least 24 semester hours in physics.
