1. Contribute to the design, maintenance, integrity and development of index products and analytical tools.
2. Respond to internal and external inquiries related to index construction and methodology.
3. Guide BAU research projects and studies.
4. Coordinate with Product Management team, IIG, Index Delivery, Index Platform Strategy and Technology teams on the development of investment solutions and the delivery of product roadmaps.
5. Contribute to process change to achieve improvements in operational risk across the division.
6. Work with client-facing teams and strategic clients in the marketing and promotion of new and existing equity indices.
7. Develop a good knowledge of a specific area of index products and services.
8. Independently draft short commentary with performance attribution of managed indices.
9. Research new index ideas, design back testing and other analytical tools, and articulate findings.
(May telecommute from commuting distance to New York, NY per company hybrid work policy.)
All Requirements: Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field followed by 2 years of experience in a financial quantitative analysis-related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a financial quantitative analysis-related occupation.
Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:
1) 2 years of experience programming in Matlab, Python, R and SQL.
2) 2 years of experience in financial markets analysis.
3) 2 years of experience with index research.
4) 2 years of experience with portfolio management.
5) 2 years of experience performing statistical analysis and statistical modeling.
6) 2 years of experience with stakeholder management.
