JOB SUMMARY
The VP, Compliance leads and directs a dedicated staff of professionals, paraprofessionals and other staff who support the Corporate Compliance function for Charter Communications. This position will contribute to the strategy and day-to-day operations of the Corporate Compliance team to proactively identify and address risks; provide advice and counsel on a broad range of issues to executives and management of the Company. This role will support the Senior Vice President, Litigation and the General Counsel in the Company’s compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Responsible for day-to-day leadership, management and oversight of Charter s Corporate Compliance program and its personnel
Manage internal and external expenses to the assigned group’s annual budget
Identifies enterprise compliance risk while developing and managing the enterprise compliance risk management process
Serve on senior level corporate task forces and committees for Corporate Compliance
Provide recommendations for policy decisions
Evaluate existing policies, procedures and applicable training for the Company
Support other business units on topics related to Corporate Compliance
Keep informed of industry-specific laws and regulations affecting Charter s Corporate Compliance program and ensure that appropriate Corporate Compliance risk management strategies are in place
Assist with the preparation and submission of reports to Department leadership, the Company’s senior management team, and Board of Directors
Interpret, clarify and provide guidance on any issue concerning the Company’s Compliance Program
Participate in the investigation of complaints alleging non-compliance with any laws, regulations or Company policies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Influence internal and external key stakeholders and build consensus
Make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to supervise and motivate others in matrix organizations
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
CFE, CIA, CPA preferred
Compliance Certification preferred
Related Work ExperienceNumber of Years
Corporate compliance 10+
Internal auditing or public accounting 7+

WORKING CONDITIONS
Office environment
Some travel required
