Qualifications required: Excellent written and oral communication, analysis, and interpersonal relations. Experience identifying communication needs and developing informational materials that inform appropriate audiences of the agency’s policies, programs, services and activities, and plan, execute, and evaluate the effectiveness of information and communication programs in furthering agency goals. Experience developing, writing, and editing technical materials, brochures, pamphlets and scripts on technical subjects. Experience developing and executing strategic communications plans, including the development of materials to select and present information on specialized subjects in a form and at a level suitable for the intended audience. Experience communicating information through visual means, including the design and display of such visual materials as illustrations, diagrams, graphs, objects, models, slides, and charts used in books, magazines, pamphlets, exhibits, videos, and other means of communicating. Experience assessing and developing products to ensure 508 Compliance. The work requires the ability to present subject matter information in a visual form that will convey the intended message to, or have the desired effect on, the intended audience. Experience communicating health medical information to a non-medical audience is a plus, but not required.
