Excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to work for a fast-growing $25M telecom company. It is a hybrid position and compensation is up to $140k.
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller and finance team to support day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, including cash, AR, AP, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets
- Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Research and resolve account variances and unusual transactions
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and allocations
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting
- Assist with monthly financial statements and variance analysis
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash reporting
- Support external audits and provide requested schedules and documentation
- Assist with tax and compliance activities
- Research historical transactions and accounting issues
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Help implement new systems, processes, and reporting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, AP, AR, accruals, and bank reconciliations
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
