Experience required of a Bookkeeper:

• At least 3+ years experience as a bookkeeper in the construction industry




• Proficient with SAGE 100




• Experience working with vendors and staff members




• Experience with construction accounting, NEEDED




• Job cost accounting PREFERRED




• Strong interpersonal skills and strong customer service skills




• Definitely experienced handling 100-200 invoices WEEKLY




• Knowledge of accounting concepts, including debits and credits and financial statement integration




• Self-starter who can recognize when change is needed

Job Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

• Prepare invoices




• Enter credit card charge receipts into the accounting system.




• Outstanding written and oral communication skills




• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook




• Create new customers and job orders in the accounting system




• Process vendor invoices




• Maintaining an organized and detailed desk




• Reliable and ethical at all times




• Maintain good communication with other departments and employees




• Badging paperwork and processing to be done for Federal jobs




• Crosstrain with other positions




• Attention to detail
