Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Applicants must meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade. (e.g.: one year at the GS-06 grade level for consideration for the GS-07 grade level.) GS-6 LEVEL: Applicants must meet one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level; or its non-federal equivalent that demonstrates: performing periodic or scheduled preventative maintenance while supervised. Review a variety of reports, schedules, and other data to respond to malfunctions and/or backlogs. Operates multiple computers and process through online, real time, and batch applications. Independently performs power-up/down procedures for large-scale cent processors and operating systems with associated hardware resources. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-06 level. GS-7 LEVEL: Applicants must meet one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level; or its non-federal equivalent that demonstrates: independently performing periodic or scheduled preventative maintenance. Review a variety of reports, schedules, and other data to respond to malfunctions and/or backlogs with assistance from lead. Interprets and adapts guidelines to resolve unusual problem or situations not previously encountered. Operates multiple computers and process through online, real time, and batch applications. Defines and isolates specific problems. Independently performs power-up/down procedures for large-scale cent processors and operating systems with associated hardware resources. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-07 level. NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the GS-0335 series set forth in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards by the closing date of the announcement.
