GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing methods and equipment to improve present, and develop new, manufacturing equipment and/or processes. (2) Assists in the preparation and maintenance of complete manufacturing equipment design packages, including tooling designs, machine modifications, installation requirements, operation drawings, and calibration procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-07). GS-10: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing methods and equipment to improve present, and develop new, manufacturing equipment and/or processes. (2) Assists in the preparation and maintenance of complete manufacturing equipment design packages, including tooling designs, machine modifications, operation drawings, and calibration procedures. (3) Coordinates the preparation and maintenance of complete manufacturing equipment design packages, including tooling designs, machine modifications, operation drawings, and calibration procedures. (4) Develops operation drawing packages depicting the sequence of operations and/or process flow. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-09). GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing methods and equipment to improve present, and develop new, manufacturing equipment and/or processes. (2) Assists in the preparation and maintenance of complete manufacturing equipment design packages, including tooling designs, machine modifications, operation drawings, and calibration procedures. (3) Coordinates the preparation and maintenance of complete manufacturing equipment design packages, including tooling designs, machine modifications, operation drawings, and calibration procedures. (4) Develops operation drawing packages depicting the sequence of operations and/or process flow. (5) Utilization of various software packages such as CAD and industrial process flow simulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-10). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Mechanical Engineering Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-09 level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-10 level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-11 level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
