BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alternative A) (opm.gov) In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-7: Assists with maintaining and training on the Windows Operating System, and Personal Computer systems. Monitors the inventory and management of all Automatic Data Processing (ADP) equipment to determine the equipment level (quantity and quality) needed to support the service unit along with determining pricing and methods that may be used to standardize equipment purchases. Follows applicable regulations and instructions regarding access to computerized files, release of access codes, etc. Assists with installing new ADP technology OR 1 full year of graduate level education OR Superior Academic Achievement. GS-9: Analyze Automatic Data Processing (ADP) problems over the phone or in writing and presents solutions to allow processing to resume, or to improve processing procedures. Oversees tile installation of newly acquired Data equipment/systems and assures maximum benefit from telecommunications through properly managing the T/C network. Assists with training of staff in the technical procedures required to operate and maintain functional ADP systems. Assists in the evaluation of budget requirements. Experience with port contention, user security, and adjusting transmission speeds in order to diagnose transmission problems, determining if the problem is hardware or software, and takes appropriate and corrective action to resolve the problem OR master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
