This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a General Engineer (0801-series), a General Physical Scientist (1301-series), a Mathematician (1520-series), a Computer Scientist (1550-series), or a Data Scientist (1560-series), depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist leading a large team of engineers, scientists, or technicians (e.g. aligning workforce with division goals, pursuing new initiatives, managing resources, fostering innovation, and representing the organization externally) to support development, deployment and maintenance for a combat system or training system.
