In addition to the basic education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as developing and maintaining of enterprise capabilities and engaging and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge in supervisory and management policies and principles Ability to lead the design, development, and implementation of information systems (IS) Ability to provide leadership and technical coordination of the planning, designing, and development of agency data exchange Ability to oversee technical work, providing guidance on technical implementations, and making decisions about technical approaches Skill in data analytics Ability to monitor and evaluate system and service performance Skill in oral communication Skill in written communication Ability to develop partnerships to accomplish the work Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
