Our client, a well-respected law firm based in Houston, is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate who is ready to take on substantial responsibilities, work closely with senior attorneys, and actively develop their own client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to homebuilders, subdivision developers, and commercial property developers/owners.
- Handle a wide range of real estate transactions, including entity formation and structuring for property ownership and development.
- Oversee complex real estate projects and offer strategic legal guidance across various sectors.
- Collaborate with Directors (Partners) on high-level matters while managing independent client work.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read/understand land title surveys and title commitments.
- Ability to handle purchase and sale agreements and easements.
- Basic understanding of real estate finance/lending
- Ability to drafts closing documents (deeds, lien releases, etc.)
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of real estate experience in a private law firm.
- Demonstrated initiative with a strong ability to lead client matters and build relationships.
