COMPUTER SCIENTIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience: Develop, implement, and coordinate activities designed to ensure, protect, and restore IT systems, services and capabilities; monitor and evaluate systems compliance with IT security requirements. Provide advice and guidance on implementing IT security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems. Interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the agency. Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialist on critical IT issues. Apply new developments to previously unsolvable problems; and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency IT policies or programs.
