About the Position: This position is being filled using the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH). Based on the provisions outlined in the DHA authority, you will be converted to a new appointment. The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities. This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (Acq Demo) position in the NH-04 broadband, subject to the CECOM control point policy. Management will set the pay for this position consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position. This non-supervisory position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-14, step 10 base salary, or if the incumbent’s salary currently exceeds the GS-14, step 10 level the incumbent’s salary may be put on a salary control point at the incumbent’s existing salary. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Developing software using ABAP development techniques such as operating system theory, architecture, and software engineering; (2) Applying state-of-the-art computer systems expertise towards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) operating systems and software systems related to the major Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) applications; (3) Assessing performance of existing systems to determine future requirements such as hardware/software upgrades, testing and new system capabilities; and (4) Troubleshooting reported system anomalies to resolve configuration issues and software bugs. Education cannot be substituted for experience. In addition to meeting the experience requirement above, applicants must also possess the following basic education requirement: BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT – (COMPUTER SCIENTIST) Bachelor’s degree in computer science OR bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your transcripts.
