Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Note: Each grade has different qualifications, which must be met in order to be considered for that grade. For the GS-07 Level: (1) Communicating with others to schedule and/or organize events/products in a facility and/or space; and (2) Utilizing automated systems to organize information for a variety of administrative duties such as, briefings and/or presentation documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). For the GS-09 Level:(1) Communicating with others to schedule and/or organize events/products in a facility and/or space; (2) Utilizing automated systems to organize information for a variety of administrative duties such as, briefings and/or presentation documents; and (3) Researching policies and procedures to rectify problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). For the GS-11 Level: (1) Preparing and presenting briefings and/or documents to management indicating project plans; (2) Performing liaison functions with other organizations, such as effectively presenting the organization’s needs and creating coordinated working relations with counterparts; and (3) Evaluating processes against relevant regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). For the GS-12 Level: (1) Preparing and presenting briefings and/or documents to management indicating project plans; (2) Performing liaison functions with other organizations, such as effectively presenting the organization’s needs and creating coordinated working relations with counterparts; (3) Evaluating processes against relevant regulatory requirements to ensure compliance; (4) Conducting meetings to evaluate proper utilization of space allocation and maintenance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information Management Oral Communication Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-09 level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-12 level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
