Your overseas time served will not reset upon accepting this assignment. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: experience with performing contract administration and construction quality assurance services; prepares cost estimates and pre-negotiation objectives; negotiates modification work to contracts; assembles engineering and fiscal data in automated systems and provides training and guidance on contract actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: experience in coordinating and maintaining construction projects by reviewing contract proposals, estimates, modification, technical reports and completeness of contract negotiation and award processing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). Please note that this specialized experience requirement can be met by qualifying experience at the second lower grade level (GS-9), since no intervening GS-10 level positions exist in the normal line of progression for this occupation in this organization/location You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
