Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline plus after award of the Ph.D., six or more years of successful research, research administration, and/or managerial experience pertinent to the position. Or, candidates must have a M.S. in a STEM discipline plus after award of the M.S., eight or more years of successful research, research administration, and/or managerial experience pertinent to the position. Emphasis will be placed on candidates with expertise in one of several core disciplinary subjects (the Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Geosciences, Physics, and the Social Sciences) plus one or more of several other areas, including R&D in interdisciplinary settings, research on institution-wide transformation efforts, STEM teacher preparation, evaluation, data-intensive research, or experience with machine learning or other aspects of artificial intelligence.
